Lavender spindle workshop, with Arôma'plantes

Lavender ... A unique scent, a plant with a thousand virtues, it has been used throughout the ages for the well-being it brings ...
As far back as Ancient Rome, women used it to perfume their linen, and our grandmothers, during the harvest season, used to make spindles with silky, colourful laces which were then placed in wardrobes. Unfortunately, over time, this custom gradually disappeared, giving way to our industrial deodorants and repellents.
Arôma'plantes has decided to revive this age-old tradition.
You can now take part in the "Spindle" workshops and, with the help of a facilitator, make your own bouquet in the typical shape. You'll have a wide choice of ribbons to choose from, and the lavender you use will, of course, have been cut in the distillery's fields.

Please note that this workshop is for groups of 8 or more.

• In the shoes of a lavender grower: Come and harvest and distil your own lavender. Discover the traditional cultivation of Lavender, guided by the producer. On the programme: the history of lavender, an introduction to cutting with a sickle and a saquette, then distillation of your harvest. Leave with your own bottle of essential oil.
• Adult soap workshop: Become a soap-maker for a day! Come and learn how to create soap in our laboratory, discovering the ancestral method of cold saponification and leave with the fruit of your creation.
• The soap-making apprentice: Make your own shower gel. Discover the secrets of soap-making (cold saponification technique and use of organic ingredients) at the heart of our laboratory and leave with your own shower gel.
