Catherine Tartanac

A painter from Nancy, Catherine Tartanac Pertuy has been living in Provence for more than thirty years. She leads a singular artistic path built on the one hand on the work of color and its materiality and on the other hand on the question of the other, her body, her form.

Her work explores the threshold of finity/infinity, where forms and surges of memory lead. From his oil-painted canvases or his papers emerge freely from the inner depths, lights, shadows, sensuality of colors.
She has exhibited in several cities in France: Paris, Nancy, Aix en Provence, Marseille, Nîmes, Nantes.
“To be able to say of this link between the infinite that crosses us, the anxiety it generates and at the same time the absolute necessity of its presence. Nothing is guaranteed in advance, but that's what gives me all the strength and depth of my work.”
