MJC, 157 avenue Général De Gaulle, 84300, Cavaillon
Friday 16 October 2026 from 6 pm.
On Friday 16 October 2026 in Cavaillon, Le Bal de Pat Kalla turns Le Grenier at the MJC into a musical playground for children and adults alike. From 6 pm, this free family concert brings together soul, afro, hip-hop, jazz, funk and rock in a participatory dance concert to enjoy standing, with no booking required.
Pat Kalla, leader of Super Mojo and MC of Voilaa Sound System, comes to Le Grenier at the MJC de Cavaillon with his musicians for a children’s and family dance concert that joyfully breaks the usual rules.
Soul, afro, hip-hop, jazz, funk or rock: musical styles flow freely and familiar songs take on a new identity. Steve Waring can turn punk, Anne Sylvestre take on the colours of maloya, or Brassens be transformed into makossa.
The audience gets involved too: children can choose a song and then watch the musicians transform it live on stage. The result unfolds in the moment, in a standing concert designed for dancing and sharing music as a family.
At Le Bal de Pat Kalla, the setlist is never fixed: songs become material to play with and transform, while the audience helps shape the direction of the concert.
Choose
A song chosen by the children becomes the starting point for a brand-new interpretation created with the musicians.
Transform
Afro, funk, rock, metal and other influences can completely change the character of a song. The transformation takes shape live on stage.
Dance
Le Bal de Pat Kalla is a standing concert, designed for moving, dancing and enjoying the music together with children, parents, family and friends.
