The Blachère Foundation is the foundation of the Blachère illumination company

Dedicated to contemporary art from Africa, it holds two exhibitions a year, welcomes artists in residence and promotes artists from the continent and its diaspora.
La Boutik presents a wide selection of handicrafts and designs from Africa, with a fair trade approach.
The Blachère store offers a range of light products for the home and garden.

Exhibition - Bandiagara - at the Fondation Blachère Art Centre

The Blachère Foundation presents the exhibition "Bandiagara: at the beginning of the Blachère collection", a not-to-be-missed event at the Gare de Bonnieux. "An exhibition celebrating 20 years of contemporary art from West Africa".

It was in 2001, facing the cliffs of Bandiagara in Dogon country (Mali), that Jean Paul Blachère developed a visceral interest in Africa. A few years later, this interest was transformed into a commitment to the Art of Africa, culminating in the creation in 2003 of a corporate Foundation dedicated to promoting, supporting and disseminating the work of artists from the African continent.
In 2024, the Foundation is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its art centre with the Bandiagara exhibition, highlighting the work of 20 artists who have left their mark on contemporary art in West Africa over the last two decades. These artists are now major references on the art scene. The exhibition features emblematic pieces from the early days of the Blachère collection, as well as the collector's favourite artists. A not-to-be-missed event at the Gare de Bonnieux.

Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 6pm. July and August until 7pm.
