Presented at La Garance, Scène nationale de Cavaillon, Immobile & Rebondi is a contemporary dance creation by Compagnie Lamento. This original performance, at the crossroads of visual theatre and choreographic poetry, invites audiences of all ages into a world in constant transformation. On stage, paper becomes a living material, a playful and creative partner. The dancers explore the boundary between stillness and motion, between reality and imagination, with gentle humour and sensitivity.

A body, a paper set... and everything comes to life!

Immobile & Rebondi offers a visual and choreographic reverie where the boundary between reality and imagination fades away. The show begins in a pure, almost motionless space, where a white paper set seems frozen in time. Gradually, the walls quiver, shift and fold... until the space transforms before our eyes.

At the centre: Immobile, an artist in search of inspiration, and Rebondi, a mischievous character born from his failed sketches. Between them, an invented relationship full of humour and tenderness. Through dance, gesture and animation, the two characters learn to embrace mistakes, to move through them, and to make them bounce back. The performance celebrates the grace of imperfection and invites us to see failure as an opportunity for creation.

Compagnie Lamento

Founded by choreographer Sylvère Lamotte, Compagnie Lamento creates contemporary dance performances that blend movement, drawing and visual poetry. Inspired by the relationship between body and space, the company presents sensitive and accessible creations performed in numerous theatres and national venues.
