Les Estivales des Taillades

This is the official version of the presentation of this famous festival in the quarries of Les Taillades. We had the chance to be invited to the presentation of the 20th season and we came out dazzled.

How good it is to be able to present such beautiful moments in anticipation, at the same time original, revisited with masterly hands and totally in the current trend, whatever the scenic art represented.

If we had to summarize the six evenings? We would first talk about the conviviality and the free first part of the evening given on the town hall square with small dishes to nibble on the spot

Friday, July 2 - 9:30 pm

Moliere's Miser ... well known, isn't it? Well, here it is a staging mixing theater, mask inspired by the Commedia dell'arte and circus art to realize a burlesque and acrobatic pantalonnade carried by 6 actors. A must-see for the whole family!

Saturday, July 3rd - 9:30pm

Robin McKelle... a voice recognized as a revelation of female vocal jazz. An American singer and songwriter with a powerful voice and a raspy tone. From her last album, covers of famous female artists : Amy Winehouse, Lana del Rey, Sade, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday...

Saturday, July 3rd - 9:30pm

When a company is called Rêverie verticale, it is already a good omen to rise from our earthly world. And if it proposes a show called "Clair de Lune", you should know that you have a date with sensitive and poetic reverie, mixing music, lyrical song, storytelling and vertical dance... A true osmosis between the dancers and the quarries.

Saturday, July 10th - 9:30pm

Another major player in the classical style: a French pianist considered as one of the most gifted of his generation: David Bismuth. César Franck, Camille Saint-Saens and Claude Debussy will compose his recital in all intimacy at Les Carrières.

Friday, July 16 - Around 6:30 pm / 9:30 pm

Special evening programmed with the association AVEC la Gare in Coustellet.  Two concerts with an evening that starts at 18:30.

On the tracks of folk rock with H.Burns & the Stranger quartet (3 violins and a cello) who play Leonard Cohen. A poetic and initiatory escape based on the texts and songs of Leonard Cohen under the influence of folk (Bob Dylan) and indie rock of Neil Young or Bruce Springsteen.

Do you know the founders of the Maison Tellier? Helmut and Raoul invite us to a musical and literary wandering to the origins of the group. Inspired by the texts of authors from the Belle Epoque, they revisit their repertoire in an original show directed by Julie-Anne Roth.

Sunday, July 18 - 9:30 pm

A show in resonance with the current situation, traces the history of Italian immigration through original songs, stories and authentic portraits projected on the walls of the quarries. We all know these songs and we can accompany the troupe Gruppo Incanto accompanied by the actor Bruno Putzulu.
