For the 23rd edition of Rendez-vous aux Jardins, Lauris invites visitors to discover three remarkable gardens, combining landscape heritage, tinctorial plants, viewpoints and activities inspired by the plant world.
Over three days, the Jardin Blanc, the Jardin des Plantes Tinctoriales and the Grand Jardin offer exceptional openings, guided tours and sensory experiences to observe, photograph, understand and enjoy gardens in a different way.
The Jardin Blanc invites visitors to take a fresh look at the landscape. Between observation, photography and contemplation, this garden offers a sensitive discovery of its surroundings and remarkable views stretching from the Alpilles to Sainte-Victoire.
Guided tours: Saturday 6 June at 5 pm and Sunday 7 June at 9 am.
Binoculars and maps are provided to observe the view and better appreciate the surrounding reliefs.
“View of the garden” activity: take your best photos of yourself and the garden using the frames provided. Free.
The Jardin des Plantes Tinctoriales opens its doors exceptionally to reveal the fascinating world of colour-producing plants. This site highlights know-how linked to plants, natural pigments and the traditional uses of tinctorial plants.
Exceptional opening: from 10 am to 7 pm, non-stop.
Admission: free on Friday. Reduced rate of €2 on Saturday and Sunday.
“Leaf pounding” activity: a fun and creative workshop to reveal the natural colours of plants, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June at 10 am. Free.
The Grand Jardin, usually more discreet, welcomes the public to discover its remarkable setting and landscape heritage. This exceptional opening offers a privileged moment in a rarely accessible place, ideal for strolling and exchanging ideas around the art of gardens.
Exceptional opening: 5, 6 and 7 June, from 9 am to 8 pm, non-stop.
Guided tour: Sunday 7 June at 10:30 am. Free.
