The "Vignobles & Découvertes" Label: Quésaco?
The Vignobles & Découvertes label is a national distinction created in 2009 and awarded to a tourist and wine destination for a period of 3 years. It makes it possible to promote the quality of the region's wine tourism offer and thus highlight wineries, restaurants, activity providers, etc. that are committed to promoting the region's wines. It is a new guarantee of quality to discover an exceptional vineyard.
For wine lovers, it is an assurance of satisfaction on an experiential level, as well as the guarantee of a simplified and accompanied reservation while benefiting from the expertise of the label to determine their choice.
The Vignobles & Découvertes Label Destination Luberon
Labelled since March 14, 2022, the Luberon destination already has around a hundred certified partners committed to valuing and promoting Luberon wines.
Between the Rhone Valley and the Mediterranean, the AOC Luberon extends from east to west in the south of the Vaucluse department, on the left bank of the Rhône, around the Luberon mountain. The vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate with continental and alpine influences that induce lower nighttime temperatures bringing beautiful freshness to Luberon wines.
The entire Luberon protected designation of origin is included within the perimeter of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, in the heart of a green setting benefiting from an incredible natural wealth.
In Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Destination Luberon is the 7th territory to achieve this prestigious distinction. The Luberon vineyard therefore naturally finds its place near the “Pays d'Aix-Sud Luberon”, “La Provence Verte” or “Around the Ventoux”.

The typical characteristics of Luberon wines
Luberon grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache Noir, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Grenache Blanc, Vermentino, Ugni Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc.
Production of the 3 colors on more than 3,000 hectares of vines planted on the flanks and foothills of the Luberon Massif. The southernmost terroir in the Rhone Valley.
Here, the vines are located at an altitude of between 200 and 450 meters. The soil is rich, with Miocene sands in the Pays d'Aigues, calcareous scree at the foot of the mountain, and this red clay specific to the surroundings of Apt. The mountainous presence favors strong thermal amplitudes, which preserve the taste of red wines, and allow significant production of whites. It is this thermal amplitude that reveals all the aromas of Luberon wines.
This terroir reveals its full potential with a varied production of 117,000 hectolitres of red (23%), rosé (54%) and white (23%) wines.
