A destination to explore throughout the seasons. Whether you're a sports enthusiast, a gourmet, seeking relaxation, or looking for lively and convivial moments, the Luberon will satisfy you with its diverse offerings in the heart of a preserved natural environment rich in breathtaking landscapes. Located in the southern Rhône Valley, Luberon wines, whether red, rosé, or white, offer a complex and seductive aromatic palette. This distinctiveness is due to the grape varieties, the terroir, the climate, and of course, the winemaking expertise that you can discover along the way.
The red, rosé, and white wines are born from light, limestone, and sandy soils that give the grape varieties a unique expression. Luberon wines have both body and smoothness, thanks to the different grape varieties cultivated here on land that has been ideal for vine growing since Antiquity. The whites and rosés are fresh and fruity, while the reds, with peppery and spicy notes, can develop richer, tannic, and truffle-like aromas.
A paradise to discover throughout the seasons, nestled in the heart of a Regional Natural Park, which is doubly recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and a Global Geopark.
As you journey along picturesque country roads, winding between vineyards and olive groves, you'll discover the renowned hilltop villages that have made Luberon famous worldwide: Gordes, Lourmarin, Ménerbes, Ansouis, and more. Classified among "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France," these charming villages are a must-visit. Strolling through their narrow streets, you will uncover the rich history of the region, shaped by Roman and Waldensian civilizations.
Exploring a region also means discovering the craftsmanship of the men and women who have shaped its landscapes. The winemakers of Luberon and Ventoux invite you to immerse yourself in their world through vineyard trails, a museum dedicated to viticulture, and insights into their time-honored winemaking expertise.
