Poster of the Birds on a Wire concert with Rosemary Standley and Dom La Nena at the Estivals des Taillades

Rosemary Standley and Dom La Nena form the duo Birds on a Wire, a luminous encounter between voice and cello.

Between folk, classical music and world music, they offer a sensitive musical journey, carried by reinvented covers and a great freedom of interpretation.

A poetic and intense evening to experience in the unique setting of the Théâtre des Carrières, for the Estivales des Taillades 2026.

Birds on a Wire Voix, violoncelle & liberté

A rare dialogue between two free artists

Free figures on the music scene, Rosemary Standley and Dom La Nena have been forming the duo Birds on a Wire since 2012.

One is a French-American singer, known in particular as the voice of the group Moriarty. The other is a Franco-Brazilian cellist, singer and songwriter.

Together, they invent a subtle dialogue between voice and cello, with rare intensity and nomadic elegance.

Répertoire Reprises réinventées & chansons suspendues

Well-known or secret songs, transformed with intensity

From Leonard Cohen to The Cure, from Pink Floyd to Barbara, Brel, Bob Dylan or Gilberto Gil, Birds on a Wire crosses continents, eras and styles.

Each cover becomes an intimate, fragile and powerful journey, where the melodies seem suspended between emotion, poetry and freedom.

  • a very fine voice and cello duo;
  • folk, classical and world music influences;
  • covers revisited with a very personal identity;
  • a sensitive, nomadic and deeply poetic universe.
