At the foot of the Luberon, Mus Sophie invites you to discover authentic beekeeping expertise. This small family-run farm, certified organic by Ecocert, maintains nearly 200 hives and offers a fine range of honeys in a variety of flavours, harvested with respect for the bees and nature.
Here, each honey tells the story of a terroir, a bloom, a season. Luberon blossom honey, acacia honey, lavender honey, chestnut honey, white heather honey and rosemary honey make up a rich and nuanced flavour palette, ideal for lovers of local produce and artisanal delicacies. Luberon wildflower honey, which is particularly popular, reveals fragrant notes of thyme, oak and wild lavender that reflect the region’s Provençal character.
At Chantemiel, every stage is managed with the utmost care: hive maintenance, transhumance, harvesting, extraction, bottling and marketing. No repellents or antibiotics are used, in line with an environmentally friendly approach that complies with organic farming standards. This committed approach guarantees authentic, natural and high-quality products.
Sales take place directly on site, by appointment, to encourage interaction with the beekeeper and give visitors a better understanding of the work involved. It’s a wonderful opportunity to take home some local honey, a product that epitomises the Luberon region, either as a gift or to enjoy at home.
