Gordes welcomes Ségolène Royal for a cultural talk devoted to our responsibility towards future generations.
Drawing on her book Mais qui va garder les enfants ?, published by Fayard in 2025, the former French minister will examine the major changes affecting our society and the kind of planet we will leave to our children.
Ecological debt, social debt, democracy, child protection and the transmission of a liveable world will be at the heart of this event, organised as part of Les Vendredis de Gordes.

A former French minister, former President of a Regional Council and candidate in the 2007 French presidential election, Ségolène Royal has held numerous positions of national responsibility.
For many years, she has been involved in issues concerning ecology, education, family and democracy. During this talk, she will reflect on the collective choices that shape the future of society.
The conference will address social justice, child protection and transmission, as well as the conditions needed to preserve a sustainable and liveable world.
