A series of large-format collages, ‘Les Déchirures’ (The Tears). Creations based on comic strips, newspapers and magazines that Denis manipulates to move them and make them visible in a different way, shifting them from their original position.
As the writer and director of seven films, Denis has long been carving out a niche for himself as a Mediterranean filmmaker. A resident of La Friche la Belle de Mai (Marseille) since 1996, he now lives in Cucuron, where he has his studio.
Denis is also a video artist and one of the first VJs in France. He creates visual scores and accompanies DJs and musicians on stage with his images. A creator of video mapping for several years, he animates facades and creates illusion and sensitivity with his geo-poetic visual creations.
