Three exhibitions, three artists

  • Aurélia Jaubert, hybrid artist
  • Kristian Desailly, painter
  • Marine Guillemot, visual artist

Aurélia Jaubert

Born in 1967 in Eaubonne, Aurélia lives and works in Joucas in Provence. Her artistic career reflects a constant exploration of media and the memory of images. Her early research led her to explore materials through photography. With her series Rebuts d'atelier (Studio Scraps), she reinvents a life for old drawings and personal documents destined for the bin. With the Mixtape and Super VHS series, she turned her attention to obsolete VHS and audio tapes, then to computer accidents in her photographic series Lost in Hardiskland, before devoting herself to her assembled tapestries since 2017...

Kristian Desailly

Born in 1955 in Boulogne-Billancourt, Kristian currently lives and works in Gordes. From childhood, he was immersed in the world of shapes and colours among his family's friends, who included Jean Tinguely, Victor Vasarely, Jean Deyrolle, François Morellet and all those who gravitated towards the ‘plastic arts’ universe of the Denise René gallery. At a very young age, he acquired a solid graphic technique from Vasarely, in whose studio he worked as a teenager while pursuing his artistic studies in Paris at the Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Graphiques, the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, from which he graduated in 1984.
His painting, lyrical, gestural and expressionist, is expressed as much in very large formats, using acrylic, charcoal and pastel, as in small formats, using watercolour.

Marine Guillemot

LEAFSCAPE is an immersive exhibition in which plant art weaves a unique link with the landscapes of the Luberon. A lifelong gatherer and plant prospector, Marine Guillemot then works at length on fresh leaves, transforming them into paper using an ancient Asian technique. In this fusion of the organic and the artistic, each leaf can embody the entire tree from which it came, the hill it inhabited, and the rock that shaded it. Extending this epic journey into the heart of nature, the photographic reinterpretation and scenography on art wallpaper give the works a new dimension of a plant odyssey. Visitors are invited to delve into the work down to its smallest details, revealed and amplified by the wallpaper. This immersion continues in an artistic video, opening up a journey where the infinitely small fibres meet the infinitely large nature.
