In Lourmarin, Catherine Dumas Perrot opens the doors to her artistic universe through a gallery dedicated to abstract contemporary painting. Located at 4 Avenue Philippe de Girard, the artist presents acrylic works on canvas, crossed by color, movement and emotion. Her work invites us to a sensitive encounter with matter and light, in a place where we take the time to look, to feel and to enter a deeply personal world.
The career of Catherine Dumas Perrot is that of a vocation that returned strongly to adulthood. After training in business school and a busy professional life, she resumed painting, then affirmed her approach during an expatriation to the United States in 2008. In Washington, she enriched her practice through contact with other artists, explored new techniques such as working with matter, collage and acrylic fluids, and was fully oriented towards abstraction.
His painting is born from an inner impulse, from a constant dialogue between emotions, colors and the white canvas. The artist describes an instinctive relationship to creation, nourished by light, by the environment that surrounds him and by a total immersion in his current works. In particular, she likes to paint outside, in the pine forest, to let the luminous intensity that characterizes her work enter into her compositions.
In his gallery, several canvases are offered for discovery, such as Composition Lumineuse, Halo, Luminis, Abondance, Connexion or Lourmarin. All bear witness to a vibrant pictorial universe, where formats, rhythms and chromatic harmonies reflect sensitive and free research.
