Located in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in France, this iconic site reveals a rare heritage where history unfolds both underground and in the open air. Faced with space constraints, the inhabitants of Gordes have, over the centuries, developed a true underground organization made up of cellars, galleries and artisan spaces carved into the rock.

After more than forty years of restoration led by the Morand family, this remarkable ensemble has been revived as a unique site, combining Renaissance architecture, semi-troglodyte cellars and hanging gardens.
