Nestled in Lauris, between vineyards, sunshine and the rolling hills of the Luberon, La Grenouille Bleue is a family-run farm specializing in the artisanal cultivation of spirulina. As both a local producer and a committed wellness advocate, the team grows this exceptional microalga with respect for the environment, the product… and those who consume it.
At JCO Spiruline farm, every step of the process is carried out on site – from cultivation to packaging. The spirulina grows in covered outdoor basins, supplied with deep well water free of pesticides, nitrates and heavy metals. It is then harvested, pressed, shaped and dried at low temperature to preserve all its nutritional benefits.
Unlike imported or blended spirulina, La Grenouille Bleue is 100% French, 100% Luberon, and contains no additives. Each batch is tested by a laboratory to ensure impeccable quality, in terms of taste, safety and nutrition.

At La Grenouille Bleue farm, spirulina is grown using artisanal and environmentally friendly methods. Everything is done on-site, with transparency and in line with good practices.
The spirulina is cultivated in greenhouses, in above-ground basins, allowing full control over the growing environment. The water used comes from a deep well (100 m), pure and free from pesticides or heavy metals.
The culture is carefully monitored every day:
Once harvested, the spirulina is dried at low temperature to preserve all its nutritional benefits. Each batch is then tested by an independent laboratory.
Considered for centuries as an exceptional food, spirulina is a spiral-shaped microalga naturally found in certain tropical lakes. Used by the Andean peoples as well as the Kanembou women in Chad, it has long been a source of energy and vitality.
