Located in the commune of Cheval-Blanc, in the heart of the Vaucluse, the Lac de pêche de Cheval-Blanc is a haven of tranquillity for fishing enthusiasts. Managed and maintained by the Cheval-Blanc Fishing Society Association, this private lake offers a peaceful, well-organised setting in which to enjoy your passion to the full.

A lake reserved exclusively for fishing

Species present : Rainbow trout, brown trout, roach, carp and many others.
Events and activities : Regular trout releases and fishing competitions, especially for carp.
Authorised times : 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset.
Night fishing prohibited, except during special events organised by the association.

A regulated framework for the respect of all

Fishing licence required - Federal fishing licences are not accepted. You must buy a licence from the association.
Strict observance of the rules - Posted in the car park, failure to comply will result in penalties and fines.

Rules to be observed on site :

Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the site and the car park (owners must clear up after their dogs).
Fires on the ground prohibited - Use of standing barbecues only.
It is forbidden to throw stones into the lake.
Swimming prohibited for humans and pets.

Opening times and periods

From 01/01 to 31/12/2026 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and weekends. Closed on Friday.

Price(s)

Adult : from 15 €

Child (8-14 years) : 10 € (Annual membership fee.

A child’s annual membership MUST be accompanied by an adult who holds an annual membership.).


Free entry for children under 8.


Annual passes : 

- Cheval Blanc resident : €50

- Non-resident of Cheval Blanc : €70

You must provide proof of identity and proof of address for the current year to qualify for the ‘Resident’ rate.

Day passes and holiday passes : same as adult rates.

Day pass : €15

Holiday pass (valid for 7 consecutive days) : €30


Where to buy fishing permits : 

- Le Café’In grocery shop, bar and tobacconist on the town hall square in Cheval Blanc

- La Jarre Provençale florist, Avenue de la Canebière in Cheval Blanc

- “Les Rives du Luberon” campsite on Chemin de la Grande Bastide in Cheval Blanc (day passes and holiday passes only).
