On 16 October 2026 in Oppède, Le Funambule brings together Sylvain Kassap and Benjamin Duboc, two musicians from the contemporary jazz scene, for a concert presented by JAO – Jazz à Oppède.
Le Funambule brings together Sylvain Kassap on clarinets and Benjamin Duboc on double bass. The duo explores the worlds of contemporary jazz and improvised music through a musical dialogue based on listening, freedom and balance between the two instruments.
The title Le Funambule – “The Tightrope Walker” – reflects this way of playing on the edge of balance. The two musicians move forward together through tension, silence, breath and instrumental response. Clarinet and double bass seek each other out, meet and build the music in the moment.
The concert is presented by JAO – Jazz à Oppède at Espace Jardin de Madame in Oppède.
With “Jazz Osé”, JAO - Jazz à Oppède presents concerts driven by invention, emotion and discovery. A programme that invites audiences to explore contemporary forms of jazz and distinctive musical worlds.
