La photographie : un métier passion

Fabienne started photography at the age of 16, self-taught, photography is first of all a personal activity. "I took courses to understand technical features, I also took a course at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris to deal with culinary photography.

An activity that has become his profession. "I obviously carry out professional and commercial projects, such as portraits, or wedding photos... I am also an author photographer on my personal time, so I would say that photography represents 100% of my time! It's a real passion job!"

"Photography is about capturing the moment and the people..."

We think, wrongly, that making a beautiful photo is only about immortalizing a beautiful landscape or a particular moment. "Photography is about capturing the moment, it's about capturing that fleeting light that won't come back. It's also about finding different angles to tell a new story in each shot.

The photographer knows how to capture the beauty of a landscape, he also knows how to see the beauty of people. "I particularly enjoy my job when I can make people feel good through photography. For example, when a person who doesn't like himself wants to do a photo session and leaves the shooting having appreciated the moment and the result. Phototherapy helps people to accept their image, to realise that they also have something beautiful.

The Luberon: an ideal playground for the photographer

A life-size playground for expert eyes? Yes, the Luberon is a whole that has seduced more than one! "It is magnificent, everything is there... The preserved nature obviously, the water with the Durance, the rock with the massif, the stone with the built heritage, it is endless! You just have to let yourself be guided.

"The Luberon offers us an incredible diversity"

"I am very happy in Lauris, there is the countryside and the Durance... with different forests; pines, oaks, boulots. The village at night is splendid! In summer, the colours are incredible, especially the lavender. Winter is wonderful too... this season we were lucky enough to have a decent amount of snow, it was incredible to see the Cedar Forest in a white coat, with the snowy roofs of the hilltop villages in the distance."

The basics: between nature and heritage

In the Luberon, nature is omnipresent, blending with an exceptional built heritage, an inexhaustible source of inspiration. "We find an incredible diversity in the Luberon; magnificent castles, viewpoints that allow us to capture incredible images as far as the Alpilles!

The Luberon offers an exceptional setting for the photographer, but without light nothing is possible. "Light management is fundamental for a photographer. I always try to capture light in different ways; a ray of sunlight on the vines, a glint through a broken window... In the Luberon, the light is unbeatable. In summer as in winter, the light is beautiful and different... it is especially present at every moment, even when it rains there is something to do in the reflection of puddles for example."

LE MOT DU PHOTOGRAPHE

« En tant que photographe, la dernière photo qu’on prend est toujours notre préférée. Mais au bout d’un certain temps, on s’attarde sur ses défauts et on chercher sans cesse à s’améliorer. »
