Sommaire

Immerse yourself in the history of our region through stories from yesterday and voices from today.
Le Pays du Melon tells the story of how the countryside has changed and how it continues to connect the people who live there. From their fields to our plates, from the Place du Clos to the Marché d'intérêt national, this is the story of the women and men who have been growing melons for generations, who have sold, packaged and tasted them from yesterday to today.
Eliott Bourel-Rochas is an author and sound engineer, born in Cavaillon in 1991. Trained in radio documentary at the INA and then at RFI, he spent many years telling other people's stories before returning to his own — that of his native Vaucluse. He grew up in what he likes to call ‘the country’, a territory without precise boundaries, woven together with memories, family anecdotes and land cultivated by his ancestors.
