3rd Edition Cyclo Ride

The cycling event in Gordes returns on July 12, 2026 for the 3rd edition of the Boucles du Soleil, organised by Gordes Vélo Évasion under the aegis of the French Cycling Federation.

Between the Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse, four road routes suitable for all levels await you: 36 km, 41 km, 54 km and 55 km. From hilltop villages and scenic roads to blooming lavender fields, this sporting day offers a unique way to explore the region.

A unique cycling experience in the Luberon, combining personal challenge, iconic landscapes and a friendly atmosphere.

The Routes

Family Route - 36 km (545 m elevation gain)

Participants: adults and minors aged 15 and over accompanied by a parent.
Free start: from 7:30 am, from the Town Hall square in Gordes.
End of the ride: until 3:00 pm.

Discovery Route - 41 km (571 m elevation gain)

Participants: adults and minors aged 15 and over accompanied by a parent.
Free start: from 7:30 am, from the Town Hall square in Gordes.
End of the ride: until 3:00 pm.

Hilltop Villages Route - 54 km (1070 m elevation gain)

Participants: adults and minors aged 15 and over accompanied by a parent.
Free start: from 7:30 am, from the Town Hall square in Gordes.
End of the ride: until 3:00 pm.

Between Luberon and Monts de Vaucluse Route - 55 km (1100 m elevation gain)

Participants: adults only.
Free start: from 7:30 am, from the Town Hall square in Gordes.
End of the ride: until 3:00 pm.

Programme of the Day

6:30 am: participant welcome, registration check, welcome coffee and distribution of a coloured wristband according to the chosen route.
7:30 am: free start of the Boucles du Soleil from the Town Hall square in Gordes.
Refreshment stop: 1 shared feed station for all routes, located in the Town Hall gardens of Gordes.
11:30 am: opening of the refreshment stand and catering area.
3:00 pm: arrival of the last participants.
At the finish: 1 complimentary drink per participant.
Facilities: public toilets available in the village.

Registration and Fees

Non-competitive cycling event without ranking or timekeeping, open to amateur and experienced riders, with friends or family (subject to age conditions).

Entry Fees

FFC - FFCT - UFOLEP license holders: €10
Non-licensed riders: €12 per person
Fees apply to the 36 km, 41 km, 54 km and 55 km routes.

The Cycling Experience

In the heart of an exceptional Provençal setting, the routes wind along panoramic roads, hilltop villages and iconic landscapes between the Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse. In July, blooming lavender fields create a unique spectacle, with open views of Mont Ventoux and the surrounding hills.

A shared refreshment stop offers a convivial break before setting off again at your own pace, in a spirit of discovery and enjoyment.

Organisation: Gordes Vélo Évasion - under the aegis of the French Cycling Federation.
