Isabelle and Nathalie bought the village bakery, which had been closed for months.
After a year of renovations, they opened Madelen, an artisan biscuit bakery with a bright atmosphere, where they create recipes they love and share them with locals — who were a bit surprised to taste sweet potato/coconut financiers or gluten-free madeleines…

They serve a fine selection of teas, coffees, kombucha elixirs. Families linger over a cup of homemade hot chocolate…

Nathalie, a Parisian gallery owner, loves to cook and experiment with new recipes.
Isabelle knows every trick in the restaurant trade after working 20 years in Marseille.
They are friends who share the same sense of hospitality and love of gastronomy.

« We wanted “clean” recipes!!! That means without additives or coloring agents… We’ve been eating organic for years and aren’t big fans of sugar... We also wanted to cut sugar by 30% and offer lactose- and gluten-free alternatives… Actually, we had a very clear vision of where Madelen should go… »
