Mas Charpin

A house of character in the heart of the Luberon

We invite you to come and stay in our house, Mas Charpin, which sleeps 6 people. Surrounded by vineyards and ancient trees, the Mas is located in Puyvert, in the southern Luberon, 2 kilometres from the Provencal villages of Lourmarin, Lauris and Cadenet. It is reached by a private road lined with cypress and oak trees, then an avenue of lime trees among the vines.

In the heart of the vineyards - classified AOC - and on the edge of its large lawns shaded by cedars, pines and hundred-year-old oaks, Mas Charpin, a former 17th-century magnaneraie, offers uninterrupted views of the Luberon mountains.
The house has retained its Provencal character, with terracotta floors, old ceilings and its original plaster fireplace. Eighteenth- and nineteenth-century furniture rubs shoulders with modern and Art Deco objects.

Ground floor: separate kitchen with fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, living/dining room with fireplace. TV, DVD, hi-fi, fibre internet access and a bathroom with bath and washbasin, washing machine and separate toilet.
At the top of the old staircase, a landing leads to the large bedrooms: to the south is the bedroom with Art-Deco furniture and a 160 cm double bed, and to the north is the bedroom with a very high Provençal ceiling and a 160 cm double bed opening via French windows onto the garden with its open mezzanine with 2 single 90 cm beds.
A bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC completes this space.

Outside, a final independent bedroom with a 140 cm bed, accessible by a stone staircase from the south courtyard.

Flexible arrival/departure dates.

Less than an hour from Marseille and its airport, Aix-en-Provence or Avignon and their TGV stations, or even from the sea and a sailboat... Just a few minutes to be in the heart of one of France's most beautiful villages, such as Lourmarin, Ansouis, Gordes and Ménerbes or Apt and the famous Provencal markets. All shops nearby, as well as tennis, horse-riding and golf, yet total peace and quiet surrounds the property.
