A sound and light show at the heart of the landscape

A natural setting

The show uses neither screens nor façades: the images are projected directly onto the vegetation, turning the trees of the Sorgue valley into a visual canvas.

An immersive soundscape

A sound creation specially designed for the site interacts with the natural sounds of the Sorgue to enhance the audience’s immersion.

Legends from Vaucluse

The story evokes the mysteries of the chasm, the mythical figures of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and several emblematic sites in Vaucluse.

Source of legends Sorgue, myths & visual magic

Fontaine-de-Vaucluse seen in a new light

With Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Source of Legends, the site reveals its story through a poetic light display inspired by water, myths and the landscapes of Vaucluse. It is also an opportunity to discover the village of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, its chasm, narrow streets and the banks of the Sorgue.

The show takes visitors from the Fontaine-de-Vaucluse chasm to the great landscapes of the department, from Mont Ventoux to the City of the Popes, via the ochres of the Luberon.

Designed by Avignon-based video artist Marie Jumelin and Artcom diffusion, a company based in Pernes-les-Fontaines, this event also highlights local artistic creation.
