From September to December 2026, the media libraries in Mérindol, Cavaillon, Lourmarin and Les Taillades invite you to Pause littéraire, a friendly get-together for adults and teenagers. It’s an opportunity to share favourite reads, talk about the books you love and leave with new reading ideas, all in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Pause littéraire is a friendly get-together for anyone who enjoys talking about books, sharing favourite reads or simply discovering new reading ideas.
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, everyone is invited to talk about a novel, an author, a recent release or a book that has stayed close to their heart for years. There are no rules or obligations: just the pleasure of chatting, listening and leaving with fresh inspiration for your next read.
Sessions take place from September to December at several media libraries across the area: Mérindol, Cavaillon, Lourmarin and Les Taillades. The sessions are open to adults and teenagers, and booking is recommended.
A simple and welcoming moment to pause, connect and share the pleasure of reading.
A novel you have recently discovered, an author you love or even a book you read several years ago: everyone is free to share whatever they like.
The discussions are a great way to discover new books, authors and literary gems, and to leave with a few ideas for your next read.
There is no need to prepare a presentation: you can chat, ask questions, recommend a book or simply listen to the other readers.
In Mérindol, Cavaillon, Lourmarin and Les Taillades, the librarians guide the discussions, share their recommendations and help new reading ideas circulate.
Line, Karine, Cathy, Emmanuelle, Leila and Nathalie welcome participants in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with no required reading or special preparation.
You do not need to be an avid reader to take part: everyone is welcome to recommend a book, share an opinion, discover new titles or simply listen.
