The Sainte-Foy Chapel Art Center, in Beaumettes, welcomes the works of Marie-Odile Giniès, a painter and designer based in Avignon.
This exhibition invites you to discover a sensitive pictorial production, often of large format, where drawing and painting meet on free canvas.
The artist explores places, things and situations that catch her attention, to compose singular visual worlds between observation, memory and inner atmospheres.
Born in 1954, Marie-Odile Giniès developed an artistic practice where drawing and painting dialogue freely. His work is born from a look at places, objects or situations that attract particular attention.
From photographs, sketches, and sketches, the artist constructs pictorial compositions, often of large format, in which shapes, structures, and impressions seem to keep the memory of what has been observed.
His works invite the visitor to take the time to look, to enter an image, to find the clues of a place or the sensations left by a situation.
