Spring of Poets in Robion

The town of Robion celebrates the 28th edition of Spring of Poets around an inspiring and deeply relevant theme: “Freedom. Living force. Unfolded.” This cultural event invites residents, visitors and lovers of words to discover poetry in a different way, in public spaces, through readings, artistic encounters and shared moments.

Through several events organized throughout the month of March, poetry steps out of books and takes over the streets, squares, paths and living spaces of the village. Musical readings, open mic sessions, poetic walks, guided strolls and exhibitions offer a lively, sensitive and accessible approach for everyone.

Spring of Poets in Robion becomes a true invitation to slow down, observe, listen and feel. Between heritage, nature, artistic creation and conviviality, this multidisciplinary program builds bridges between generations and transforms the village into an open-air poetic stage.

When poetry meets the landscapes of the Luberon

From the village center to the banks of the Coulon, passing through the media library, the Halle Maurice Bougnas and the public spaces of Robion, every place becomes a support for expression and emotion. Here, poetry engages in dialogue with nature, music and local heritage.

This edition places a special focus on freedom in all its forms: the freedom to write, to speak, to pass on knowledge, but also the freedom to meet and share simple moments around words.

Throughout spring, several events bring rhythm to this emotionally rich edition, with readings, walks, music, exhibitions and convivial moments open to everyone.

From March 11 to April 30: Spaces in Poetry

Discover poetry at your own pace through an urban display trail installed in several emblematic places of Robion. The texts are exhibited from Edmond Gontier square to the LMV Media Library, passing by the town hall. A special display for younger visitors is also available in the public garden.

The trail also continues near the cycle route, around Halle Maurice Bougnas and the Simone Veil area, close to the City-Park.

Saturday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m.: Poetry in Free Flow

In front of the media library, the open stage “Poetry in Free Flow” invites readers, performers and musicians to freely share their universe. A spontaneous and warm moment to bring words to life outdoors.

Friday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m.: Animated Reading

At Salle Marius Ricaud, the Passeurs de Mots join the actors of Compagnie Madgique Pool for an original creation based on this year’s theme. After the success of “Poetry Steps Out of the Frame,” this new performance directed by Amanda Barter promises a sensitive and surprising evening.

The evening will continue around a shared buffet where everyone is invited to bring their best recipes.

Saturday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m.: The Last Cat of Georges Brassens

The duo “Those Who Took the Wrong Turn” presents a musical swing reading around the world of Georges Brassens. Through the texts of Jacques Durbec and the music of Olivier Tivoli, discover a more intimate Brassens, told with humor and tenderness through the unexpected perspective of a Siamese cat.

Participation is free with a voluntary contribution, and the evening also ends with a shared buffet with the artists.

Sunday, March 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Hydraulic, Poetic and Musical Walk

Starting from Halle Maurice Bougnas, this immersive experience “through sounds and words” offers a guided walk along the canal, the banks of the Coulon and the spillway.

Between technical explanations, poetic texts and musical accompaniment, you will be guided by Magali Jameux (Water and River Project Manager at PNRL), Michel Nouveau (farmer) and Lionel Charon (musician).

At 4 p.m., return to the Halle for a friendly afternoon snack with exhibition, music, texts and discussions around the theme of water. Parking is recommended in the lot next to the cycle route, opposite Café de la Gare.

A wonderful way to experience poetry differently, between nature, heritage and human encounters, in the heart of the Luberon.
