On 21 and 22 January 2027, La Garance in Cavaillon welcomes À vue, a magic and circus show by Compagnie 32 novembre, where levitation, disappearances and balancing acts challenge the laws of physics.
À vue sits at the crossroads of magic and circus. On stage, Maxime Delforges and Jérôme Helfenstein, two world vice-champions of magic, turn ordinary objects into the raw material for a world where familiar points of reference begin to shift.
Levitation, appearances and disappearances, illusions and balancing acts unfold one after another. Here, the objects are manipulated in full view: the gestures are not hidden, yet reality gradually seems to escape the usual laws of physics.
Sound and lighting accompany this sequence of delicate, fleeting tableaux. Everyday life becomes a field of experimentation, somewhere between physical performance, illusion and imagination.
Maxime Delforges and Jérôme Helfenstein place manipulation and illusion at the heart of À vue. Rather than hiding the mechanics of magic, the two artists expose objects, bodies and gestures to the audience, blurring the line between what seems possible and what should not be.
Sound design and lighting play an active part in transforming the stage. They accompany the movements, suspend time and turn each manipulation into an image to observe as much as a magic trick to decipher.
Suitable from age 8, À vue relies largely on movement, objects, illusions and visual composition. La Garance therefore identifies it as one of the shows naturally accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences thanks to its predominantly visual nature.
The performance is part of BIAC 2027 – Biennale Internationale des Arts du Cirque. À vue at La Garance is also presented by La Bande du futur, the group of young programmers associated with the national theatre in Cavaillon.
