Candied fruit - The sweet delight

A traditional confectionery product that adds colour to the tables of the Luberon! Candied fruits are used in pastry making to decorate cakes or to bring a sweet note to recipes. They can also be eaten on their own as a dessert or for a comforting snack. Gourmands love them, but the people of Provence love them! Candied fruit has a special place in the recipes of many specialities of the region. One thinks of the famous king's cake (or crown) that is eaten on Epiphany.

La Melonnette - The cavaillonnais delight

In Cavaillon, the melon is a real institution! It is a recognised quality product, which gives rise to specialities that cannot be found anywhere else. The melonnette is a chocolate ganache, flavoured with Cavaillon melon and made exclusively by a local artisan! That's local! And delicious with that, we recommend it!

Le Gibassier - The delight of the South Luberon

The Gibassier is found in particular in Lourmarin! A hard and crumbly cake flavoured with olive oil. Some people flavour it with aniseed or orange blossom, but in Lourmarin only olive oil gives the Gibassier its aroma. Each one has its own recipe, and you can taste almost as many different Gibassiers as there are artisans... But each time, a pure delight!

Tapenade - The must-have delicacy

Tapenade is a traditional recipe emblematic of Provençal cuisine. It is made from black or green olives, crushed in a mortar with olive oil, capers, anchovy fillets, garlic and Provencal herbs. Delicious on a slice of bread with raw vegetables, it is also very good on its own! You can find tapenade on the markets of the Luberon but also in several producers' shops!
