Access to the Luberon and Monts de Vaucluse Regional Nature Park is regulated by prefectoral decree.
From 15 June to 15 September, when the risk of forest fires is highest, access to the Luberon and Monts de Vaucluse forests can be dangerous. Access is therefore regulated according to the daily weather risk.
Respect the access restrictions in periods of risk (wind, drought, etc.)

Exceptional risk - Access to forest areas and forestry work are prohibited throughout the day
Very high risk - Access to forest areas is forbidden all day. Forestry work is possible from 5am to 1pm only.
By way of exception, access to certain sites is authorised from 5am to 8pm. These sites are
- Forêt des Cèdres du Petit Luberon, in the communes of Bonnieux, Lacoste and Ménerbes
- Vallon de l'Aiguebrun, in the commune of Buoux
- Okra, in the commune of Roussillon
- Ochre Trail, Roussillon
- Colorado Provençal, commune of Rustrel
- Accrobranches Colorado-Aventure, commune of Rustrel

During the period from 15 June to 15 September, bivouacs and unauthorised camping are prohibited in the Vaucluse forests.
It is forbidden to drive or park any motor vehicle on the unpaved tracks serving the Bollène - Uchaux, Dentelles de Montmirail, Rasteau - Cairanne, Collines du Pays de Vaucluse and Dentelles de Montmirail forest areas.

d'Apt, Petit and Grand Luberon, Cadenet - Villelaure, Collines de Basse Durance, as well as the Vidauque and Trou du Rat tarmac paths in the Petit Luberon massif.
Whatever the level of risk
- Do not smoke
- Do not light fires
- Do not camp
- Do not drive or park on forest roads
In the event of a fire
- Alert the fire brigade by dialling 112
- Be as precise as possible about your location and what you see
- Move away from the burnt area and do not stay in the path of the fire
