The Château de Mille, located between Apt and Bonnieux in the heart of Provence and the Luberon Natural Park, is the oldest wine estate in the region, dating back to the 13th century. Once the summer residence of the Popes of Avignon, it spans 116 hectares, including 25 hectares of vineyards cultivated using organic farming methods.
Since 2018, under the direction of Constance and Lawrence Slaughter, the estate has undergone a major viticultural restructuring and the restoration of the château, combining respect for historical heritage with oenological innovation.
The Château de Mille's terroir, north-facing, rests on remarkable soils at the intersection of the Luberon's main geological axes. This microclimate, influenced by the winds from the Rhône Valley and the Provençal plateau, gives the wines exceptional freshness and character.
The estate offers guided tours of its renovated facilities, including a beautifully restored cellar where visitors can taste a full range of red, white, and rosé wines.
At the heart of this exceptional estate, the "Food and Wine Pairing Workshop" invites you on a unique sensory journey. With refined organic wines and carefully crafted gourmet pairings, this experience immerses you in the art of tasting, enhanced by the estate’s rich history and authentic charm.
