Welcome to Bistro Les Poulivets, a warm and friendly place in the heart of Oppède, Provence. This is where Patrick, a native of the area, and Sandrine welcome you to enjoy traditional family cooking in an authentic setting.
The large counter in the dining room and the terrace in the shade of the plane trees are reminiscent of the bistros in Pagnol's films. When they took over the café, which had been closed for a few months, Patrick Piquet and his wife Sandrine decided to preserve the spirit of this friendly place. Although the café is now more of a restaurant, events such as musical evenings and dictation and belote competitions keep the bistro atmosphere alive.
Behind the stoves, Patrick prepares delicious dishes using fresh produce. Here are just a few of his specialities: Gaspacho of green asparagus with smoked duck, crème brulée with foie gras, petit farcis provençal, soupe au pistou, bouillabaisse, etc.
At lunchtime, with his simple, gourmet cuisine, and in the evening with a more “gastro” menu, he honours the breeders, farmers and winegrowers of the Luberon.
