From September 12 to October 30 in Oppède, the exhibition Des Robots et des Rêves presents 14 original photographs by Thierry Vasseur, in a colorful and quirky universe between pop art, comics, comics, manga and everyday objects.
With Robots and Dreams, Thierry Vasseur draws the public into a vibrant, colorful and deliberately quirky artistic universe.
Photographer and visual artist, he composes images where pop art, comic books, manga, figurines and everyday objects meet.
Fourteen original photographs are to be discovered in Oppède, as part of the cultural itinerary organized for the Bicentenary of Photography.
Thierry Vasseur is part of a relationship where surrealism, pop art, the world of comics, Japanese manga and contemporary visual culture intersect.
From these multiple inspirations, he composes a very personal synthesis, recognizable by his graphic energy, his unexpected associations and his taste for differences.
Each photograph becomes a story of our time, where the possible overcomes the improbable.
The photographs combine everyday objects, figurines, popular images, and visual references in surprising compositions.
