It is in the heart of this environment, just a few kilometres from the famous village of Gordes, that the 23 hectares of vines at Domaine de Marie, spread over 3 different terroirs, are carefully cultivated. The microclimates, the diversity of the soils and their exposure to the sunset are natural assets that are decisive for the natural expression of the aromas and particularities of each grape variety.
It was in 2000, when he acquired La Bastide de Marie, that Jean-Louis Sibuet revealed a new passion: creating his own wine. He worked with Arnaud Bressy, Cellar Master, to restructure the vineyard. Today, 23 hectares of vines on the slopes and plateaux of the Luberon make up Domaine de Marie in Ménerbes. Aided by the favourable microclimate and the mistral wind, the vines never stay damp. So it's only logical that nature has always guided the winegrowing process towards integrated farming and, increasingly, towards an organic approach. Great care is taken during harvesting, with plot-by-plot and grape-by-variety picking to ensure that the grapes express themselves to the full, resulting in ever more authentic wines. The wines vinified in the Domaine's cellars benefit from the utmost care: mechanical weeding combined with regular ploughing and reasoned use of treatments against vine diseases, vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and barrel ageing. These major assets enable the Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes to produce a fine, generous red wine that is complex and suitable for ageing.
As for the Rosé, the tradition is respected with the successful marriage of Grenache and Cinsault.
Last but not least, white wine lovers will be delighted by the fullness and body of Grenache blanc, the floral aromas of Vermentino and the honey and apricot notes of Roussane. These are just some of the grape varieties that the cellar master and his team transform into truly original nectars.
At Domaine de Marie, you can take a self-guided tour of the vines to discover the estate and the vineyards. You'll be given explanations about the terroir, grape varieties and climate.
You can also visit the cellars to discover the estate's different wines. The cellar master will explain the winemaking processes, grape varieties, aromas and blends of the different Domaine de Marie wines.

The Vermentino Room With its bay windows offering a sublime view of the vineyards, the 100m² Vermentino Room and its large terrace welcome your seminars, study days, private events, receptions and wine tours in the heart of the Luberon. The place is also equipped with an outdoor courtyard of 80m² that can accommodate up to 50 people. An ideal place for unforgettable events.
