Nestled in the south of Vaucluse, in the Luberon AOP, Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans is a wine estate steeped in history, where vines and the Provençal art of living have been intertwined since the 12th century. A former priory nestled in the heart of a Mediterranean landscape of vineyards, olive trees and lavender, this remarkable place invites you to discover wine in all its forms and share an authentic Provençal experience.
The estate covers more than 13 hectares of vineyards planted on rich soil, typical of the Luberon's clay-limestone terroirs. Cultivated with care, these vines produce expressive red, white and rosé wines that reflect the identity of the local terroir. The cuvées, including the 1118 rosé in homage to the year the priory was founded, combine fruitiness, finesse and balance.
True to a sustainable vision of viticulture, the estate is in the process of converting to organic farming and should be fully certified (vines, lavender, oils, honey, etc.) very soon. Beyond the vineyard, an educational garden inspired by traditional monastic gardens and an apiary promote biodiversity and offer a living environment for understanding natural cycles.
The estate offers a range of experiences centred around wine and heritage:
• Guided tours of the vineyard and château, offering an insight into the history of the priory and winemaking techniques.
• Commentated tastings to discover Luberon AOP wines in a friendly atmosphere.
• Workshops and themed events throughout the year (concerts, wine evenings, etc.).
In addition to wine tourism, the château can be hired for private events and offers accommodation rentals (bed and breakfast, Provençal farmhouse) in the middle of the vineyard, providing an immersive experience of nature and wine culture.
