Château de Lourmarin, 2 avenue Laurent Vibert, 84160, Lourmarin
Monday 17 August 2026 from 9 pm.

The Château de Lourmarin welcomes Elise Bertrand on violin and Gaspard Thomas on piano for a duo concert as part of the Summer Music Festival programme.
From De Falla to Mozart, from Schumann to Bloch, this evening offers a musical journey through Iberian colours, classical clarity, Romantic momentum and spiritual depth.
In the heritage setting of the château, the dialogue between violin and piano promises an expressive, sensitive and contrasting evening.
The programme opens with De Falla’s Spanish Suite, a luminous work carried by Iberian colours, rhythmic energy and great expressive vitality.
Mozart’s Sonata in B-flat major, K. 454 then brings a different atmosphere, clearer and more elegant. Violin and piano engage in a refined dialogue, in a subtle balance of grace, precision and expressiveness.
After the interval, the evening continues with Schumann’s Sonata No. 1, Op. 105, passionate and full of contrast, followed by Bloch’s Sonata No. 2 “Poème mystique”, a profound, inspired and intensely poetic work.
