Les Estivales des Taillades

The Estivales des Taillades festival returns this summer in the exceptional setting of the Théâtre des Carrières, with an eclectic programme combining theatre, jazz, world music and timeless classics. A series of open-air evenings full of emotion and discovery, to experience in the heart of the Luberon.

Thursday 24 July - "Le Dîner de cons" (Theatre evening) at 9.30pm

A comedy written by Francis Veber, starring Anthony Joubert.
As Anthony Joubert says: nobody can do better than Jacques Villeret in his field. But we can do it differently! Anthony Joubert adds his own personal touch, playing a slightly more naive François Pignon in a production that surprises the audience without distorting either the play or the text!

7.30pm Apéro-concert (free) on the Place de la Mairie: K&L Human Data (Acoustic rock)
This original duo's compositions follow in the wake of the soft rock of the 60s and 70s. A bewitching voice, an acoustic guitar and a bass will be enough to carry you away into inspired melodies.

Sunday 27 July - Lazcar Volcano + Sambadaora trio - (Latino evening) 1 venue, 1 price, 2 bands at 7.30pm

Sambadaora trio:
Sambadaora kicks off this Latino-flavoured evening. Passionate about Brazilian music, this trio is steeped in the tradition of the rodas de sambas cariocas, where the melodies of the first sambists of the 1930s rub shoulders with more modern-influenced songs. A music for sharing par excellence, the audience is invited to dance, sing and clap their hands for this first stopover of the summer!
Lazcar Volcano:
In the second half of the evening, discover Lazcar Volcano, an explosive brass band that skilfully fuses jazz, soul and world music (Cumbia, Samba, etc.) to create fiery performances where the brass resonates. With their contagious energy, these eight musicians will transport you to a beach in Rio de Janeiro, a beaten track in Lagos, a swamp in Louisiana, an island in the Caribbean or Reunion Island... An explosive eruption of dancing and freedom!

Tuesday 29 July - André Manoukian & Jean-François Zygel (Classical music and jazz) at 9.30pm

An exceptional two-piano evening with André Manoukian and Jean-François Zygel. Co-presented with Les Musicales du Luberon - Recorded by France Télévisions
These two virtuoso pianists bring the audience together for a unique moment, shaped by the moment, where Bach meets Coltrane and Debussy is tinged with modal jazz. But no one knows where their ideas will lead them, or what melodies will emerge from their fingers.
An ephemeral sonic journey where improvisation becomes a rare and completely unbridled art.

7.30pm Apéro-concert (free) on the Place de la Mairie: François Bérody Crooner Quartet (New Orleans jazz)
François Bérody revisits the greatest crooner standards, adding a personal touch with compositions from his album, released in the spring. The singer and trumpeter will be joined by Guiom Regnier on piano, Olivier Piot on sax and Josh Baldwin on drums.

Wednesday 30 July - Michel Prats Quintet (Jazz)

Michel Prats Quintet - A certain history of jazz
This original creation by Michel Prats is a veritable journey through time, exploring the most beautiful themes in the history of jazz: from the songs of the slaves in the southern states of America in the 18th century to the sounds of New Orleans, via the birth of Swing, Be-bop, cool Jazz...
The quintet explores this rich heritage, highlighting the evolution of this musical genre and its impact on world culture. Rediscover these timeless melodies (Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong...), with a few surprises thrown in by the musicians for this unique performance in the Carrières!

7.30pm Apéro-concert (free) on the Place de la Mairie: Trio Pop Corn (Pop Rock). The three musicians sweep through pop-rock hits from the 30s to the 70s, in a crazy Rock “n” Roll atmosphere flavoured with Rockabilly: Elvis, Téléphone, The Beatles, Tina Turner, etc.

Thursday 31 July - The Beatles Factory

More than just a concert, these seven musicians offer a relevant and respectful re-reading of the Beatles' emblematic work. The story of a life punctuated by the music of this legendary group. Mythical songs re-orchestrated and sublimated by a string trio. Alternating videos and songs, The Beatles Factory retraces the key events in the group's history, as well as its influence on society, in a desire to pass on a timeless music.
At the crossroads of rock and classical music, you'll spend an evening out of time, swept up in a whirlwind of memories. Emotions guaranteed!

7.30pm Apéro-concert (free) on the Place de la Mairie: Goldy Flower (Pop Folk). The evening kicks off with the freshness and gaiety of Seventies American pop folk. The duo performs some of the best songs in the repertoire, with emotion and lively energy.
