Julie Depardieu, Delphine Haidan et Jean-Frédéric Neuburger dans An evening with Clara and Robert Schumann at the Estivales des Taillades 2026

At the 2026 Estivales des Taillades, Julie Depardieu, Delphine Haidan and Jean-Frédéric Neuburger bring back to life the intimate universe of Clara and Robert Schumann, major figures in musical romanticism.

With An Evening with Clara and Robert Schumann, the public is invited to a sensitive reading concert, where words, singing and piano intertwine to tell a story of love, creation and inspiration.

In the unique setting of the Théâtre des Carrières, this evening offers a delicate immersion in the heart of German romanticism, as an invitation to enter the Schumann artistic salon.

A sensitive immersion in the intimacy of the Schumanns

This concert-reading invites the public to enter the artistic and personal universe of the mythical couple formed by Clara Schumann and Robert Schumann. Through a subtle dialogue between music and literature, the show reveals the creative impulses, doubts, joys and torments of two essential figures of musical romanticism.

The actress Julie Depardieu lends her voice to the letters, diaries and correspondence of the couple. These texts give life to their story and reveal the depth of a bond where love, music, and inspiration nourish each other.

In front, the mezzo-soprano Delphine Haidan, accompanied on the piano by Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, interprets lieder and piano pieces. Words and notes recreate the atmosphere of 19th century artistic salons, between confidence, passion and emotion.

Did you know that?

Clara Schumann was one of the great pianists of the 19th century, but also a composer. Long in the shadow of Robert Schumann, she is now recognized as a major artist of German Romanticism, whose influence has left a lasting mark on the history of music.
