A look back at 2024
The 2024 edition of the Festival du Rire promises to be full of surprises and laughter at the MJC de Cavaillon and the Moulin Saint-Julien, with Quebec once again taking centre stage in the city of Cavaillon. For the 4th time in the history of the Festival du Rire, Quebec comedians were given an emotional welcome!
The 2024 edition of the Festival du Rire à Cavaillon, dedicated to Quebec, offered a programme rich in humour with a selection of artists straight from la belle province. The opening gala, performed by young comedians from the École Nationale de l'Humour (ENH), set the tone with an original and daring show featuring eight up-and-coming talents.
Audiences also caught up with Philippe Laprise, whose return to the stage in Cavaillon was as energetic as it was unforgettable, and Korine Côté with her one-woman show ‘Gros plan’, offering authentic, no-holds-barred humour. Patrik Cottet Moine dazzled families with his visual comedy show, co-written with Michel Courtemanche, while Billy Tellier, a veritable gag machine, won over audiences with his spicy style.
The week ended on a high note with a big closing night, where the 12 Quebec comedians combined their talents to put on an original and festive show, leaving spectators with some memorable souvenirs.
