On Sunday, 16 August 2026, the Festival Durance Luberon invites you to Grambois, on the Place de l’Église, for an ApérOpéra evening devoted to Franz Schubert.
This Schubertiade brings together famous pieces for piano four hands, several iconic Lieder and two major, rarer works, in a programme that is sensitive, poetic and luminous.
The voice of Carole Meyer dialogues with the piano, horn and clarinet to reveal the full expressive richness of Schubert’s music. An intimate musical evening to enjoy in the warm atmosphere of a Luberon village.
This Schubertiade evening brings together some of Franz Schubert’s best-known works, including the hugely popular Military March and the brilliant Fantasia in F minor for piano four hands.
The programme also showcases several iconic Lieder, including Erlkönig and Gretchen at the Spinning Wheel, two works in which the power of the text meets the intensity of the music.
Two rarer pieces, Auf dem Strom and The Shepherd on the Rock, enrich this musical journey. In these works, Carole Meyer’s luminous soprano dialogues with the wind instruments, between Romantic depth, vocal clarity and suspended emotion.
