On Friday, 14 August 2026, the Festival Durance Luberon invites you to La Tour d’Aigues, in the Courtyard of Honour of the Château, to discover Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca in a pocket version.

One of the world’s most frequently performed operas owes its success to a highly effective libretto, close to a film screenplay, and to music in which Puccini reveals the full power of his lyricism.

Art, love, jealousy, power, sadism and conspiracy intertwine in a drama whose modernity remains strikingly intact. This slightly shortened version focuses on the three main characters, consumed by their passions and swept along by the great tide of History.
