Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Lauris invites you to celebrate local heritage on the weekend of 20 and 21 September, opening the doors to its history, landscapes and traditions. For two days, set off to discover a living, natural and cultural heritage.

Weekend programme

Poster for European Heritage Days in Lauris – visit to the tint dye plant garden

Saturday 20 September

  • 10:00 am: Guided tour of the Garden of Dye Plants - Conservatory Garden
    Discover a unique garden dedicated to dye plants and traditional natural dyeing techniques. A guided tour to understand the link between nature, colour and heritage.
  • 5:00 pm: Lecture by JC Golvin on The Great Roman Architecture - Foyer Rural
    Jean-Claude Golvin, architect and archaeologist, takes you on a journey through the major architectural achievements of the Roman Empire.

Sunday 21 September

  • 9:30 am: Accompanied tour of the Rural Heritage Trail - meeting point in front of the town hall
    A walking tour to discover the rural heritage of Lauris.

All weekend, free visit

  • "Places of Memory" Trail - Self-guided tour in the village
    20 panels invite you to explore the emblematic sites of Lauris and delve into its past, between local stories and collective memory.
  • Dye Plant Conservatory Garden open from 10 am to 6 pm for self-guided visits
    Enjoy a leisurely stroll through this remarkable garden, a true living conservatory of dye plants.
