From the heart of the village of Lagnes, this 3.8 km trail invites you to immerse yourself in the spirit of the Monts de Vaucluse. Easy and accessible, it winds between oak groves, agricultural terraces and Mediterranean garrigue, offering a walk where nature and heritage are constantly intertwined.

Along the way, discover the richness of a land shaped by both man and time: dry-stone walls, old charcoal kilns, springs and fountains recalling the vital link between village and hillside. Geology also reveals its secrets, with surprising features such as fossilized sea urchins and karstic landscapes with their “Swiss cheese” appearance.

The flora is equally remarkable: rockroses, spurges, everlasting flowers and scorpion senna bring colors and fragrances through the seasons, while the serviceberry brightens autumn with its golden hues. Vistas open successively onto the village and the hills of the Luberon, offering moments of contemplation.

This themed trail, short but rich in discoveries, is a beautiful way to explore the identity of Lagnes and to understand the subtle harmony between natural landscapes and traces of the rural past.

When to go?

The Lagnes discovery trail can be walked all year round. The flora is particularly interesting in spring (everlastings, rockroses, scorpion senna, spurges), and the views are clear in mid-season. In summer, start early and bring water: some sections are rocky and exposed.

Before setting out, check the forest access conditions, which are regulated during the summer period.
