Using the rare remains that have been preserved, Antonin Tomasso will explain how researchers try to reconstruct the organisation, practices and evolution of these human groups.

Antonin Tomasso is a CNRS researcher at the CEPAM laboratory in Nice and a specialist in knapped stone tools.
His work focuses in particular on the end of the Upper Palaeolithic, between the Last Glacial Maximum around 25,000 years ago and the beginning of the current interglacial period around 10,000 years ago.
He studies the evolution of hunter-gatherer societies in a context marked by major climatic upheavals.
