The Luberon Monts de Vaucluse Media Library Network currently includes 12 libraries and one reading point in the village of Les Beaumettes. The central media library is located in Cavaillon (LMV – La Durance Media Library). The others are located in Cabrières d'Avignon, Lagnes, Robion, Les Taillades, Oppède, Maubec, Cheval-Blanc, Mérindol, Lauris, Lourmarin and Puyvert.
Created to promote culture and education across the Luberon and Monts de Vaucluse area, the intercommunal Media Library Network offers a wide range of activities accessible to all audiences.
From early learning workshops for the youngest visitors to cultural exhibitions for older audiences, not forgetting the many events held throughout the year, the aim is to make culture lively and accessible to everyone.
With more than 240,000 documents shared across all sites and nearly 400,000 loans each year, the LMV media libraries are a major cultural resource. Collections can be transferred by shuttle for greater convenience, and the offer also includes board games, musical instruments, CD/DVD players and video games. Throughout the year, the media libraries also organise many free events open to all.

From May to August 2026, the Luberon Monts de Vaucluse media library network invites children and adults alike to enjoy a cultural season shaped by discovery, sharing and escape.
Week after week, everyone can explore a wide range of worlds, learn, create, play, exchange ideas and be surprised through a free programme open to all.
Talks, exhibitions, book-related meetings, performances, workshops, games, digital events, music and cinema make up a rich programme designed to spark curiosity and encourage visitors to discover the local area and the wider world in a different way.
This new edition brings together different perspectives, disciplines and sensibilities. In spring, the media libraries will focus in particular on some of the major issues of our time, from the agriculture of tomorrow and local memory to cultural diversity and living heritage.
The programme also opens up to poetry, languages, illustration and storytelling, with sensitive events that celebrate creativity in all its forms.
As summer approaches, more playful and inspiring events take centre stage: creative workshops, introductions to magic, digital discoveries, video games, readings, concerts, screenings and family activities will set the pace for the season. In the villages and throughout the media library network, exhibitions and summer highlights extend the pleasure of coming together in a friendly, curious and accessible atmosphere.
