Your eco-responsible holiday
Attractive, well-equipped, self-contained gîte, qualified as an Ecogîte and labelled Valeur Parc.
Set in a large park at the foot of the old village of Lauris, it's not only an idyllic place to relax and take a step back, but also an ideal base for exploring the Luberon and its hilltop villages.
On the private terrace, shaded by a pergola, you can enjoy the song of the cicadas and the scents of the garden, and if you fancy a refreshing dip in the pool, which is just a stone's throw away.
Thanks to its thermal insulation, the cottage stays cool in summer, while in winter it is pleasantly heated by a pellet stove.
Between mid-November and the beginning of April, you can take part in wild edible plant picking and cooking workshops on site. Pottery workshop also on site.
In Lauris, behind a large dry stone wall, was the château's orchard and vegetable garden. Today it's Elisabeth's Big Garden, where cedars, cypresses and harmonious Mediterranean vegetation grow. Renovated using natural materials, the former pool house has been transformed into a comfortable eco-gîte sleeping 2/3 people. A pergola planted with jasmine shelters a private terrace. A few steps are all it takes to plunge into the pool, and the deckchairs on the banks of the pool invite you to relax. The gîte is a haven of tranquillity, ideally located in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park. When it comes to exploring the park, Elisabeth has some great advice. She's happy to share her experience, whether you're a hiker, cyclist or just curious.
