The Preludes of the La Roque d'Anthéron International Piano Festival

As part of the 46th edition of the La Roque d'Anthéron International Piano Festival, the Théâtre des Terrasses de Gordes is hosting two exceptional concerts on June 26 and 27, 2026 at 9 pm.

On Friday June 26, Jean-Philippe Collard interprets a program bringing together Bach, Ravel and Rachmaninov, between depth, colors and expressive intensity. From the architectural strength of Bach's Toccata, Adagio and Fugue to the subtle atmospheres of Ravel, to the impulses of Rachmaninov's Musical Moments, this evening promises a sensitive and inhabited musical journey.

On Saturday June 27, Philippe Bianconi offers a recital dedicated to Schumann, Liszt and Ravel. Between intimate poetry with the Children's Scenes, romantic imagination with the Fantasiestücke, Lisztian evocations and the fascinating power of Gaspard de la Nuit, this second concert offers a piano moment of great richness, combining emotion, virtuosity and refinement.

In the heart of a remarkable Provençal setting, these evenings highlight the piano and offer the public a unique outdoor musical experience. The festival, recognized as one of the major international events dedicated to the piano, brings together renowned artists and emerging talents every year.
