Vanina Delannoy proposes a light theatrical form built from the letters of Nicolas de Staël, from the age of twelve until his death. She becomes the smuggler, the intimate voice, crossing north and south, the exile, the solitude and the search for light that marked the artist's meteoric life. The sound creation is made from music that recalls Russia, Spain and Morocco - all landscapes that have permeated her life and her writings.
VANINA DELANNOY studied at the Avignon Conservatory and at the École du Passage in Paris under Niels Arestrup and Pierre Pradinas, then completed her studies at the University of Censier. She is an actress for theater and television, she directed in 2016 the documentary Once Upon a Time Lagnes 1935—1955 and has been developing projects around Nicolas de Staël and Marlène Dietrich since 2015.
