La Gare de Coustellet invites you to an off-site event on the Place de la Mairie in Les Beaumettes, for an evening under the stars, blending heritage, contemporary energy and new voices from today’s music scene.
A distinctive figure on the music scene from Réunion Island, Maya Kamaty reinvents maloya, the traditional music of Réunion born from the history of slavery, propelling it towards bold urban pop. Between Creole language, traditional percussion and electro, hip-hop and trap influences, she weaves powerful music, between memory and modernity, softness and unapologetic rage.
Opening the evening, Baby Sharon, a Franco-Togolese artist between Marseille and Lomé, unfolds a soul-pop sound infused with hip-hop and neo-soul. Her luminous voice and intense presence bring sensitive, direct lyrics to life, shaped by multiple identities and raw emotion.
